Windows of Venice.
Beautiful shop along side on the canals in Venice.
love the use of the steps to the canal. which can be seen from the bridge.
So many of the shop over look the water ways of this beautiful city, and in this modern retail world the shops have used this to their advantage, by displaying stock in the windows over looking the canals, at night this window displays look beautiful, and attractive.
By day and by night

Windows Of Venice
I have recently returned home from a trip to Venice, Italy. the Old City was perpearing for the Venetian Carnival Seeing people walking the streets in the evening in their ball gowns and masks was spectacular Due to the tidal canals all shops put in flood defences at night, Some stores even go as far as wrapping the feet of the mannequins at night to protect them and the products.
And I could not resist taking some pictures of the shop window display. If you follow me on Instagram You might have already have seen them.
(Please excuse the darkness on some of the pitchers as they where taken at night, as well as I am not sure of some of the names of the companies, I forgot the make a note of them.)

Unsure of the store name. location San Luca square.
With the lights on the Glitter balls at night, they cast the moving reflection of light across the square, which looks amazing. such a catchy effect.

Next, window display.
I am loving the windows of Next on Fenchurch street, with the bright yellow pitcher frames and rails drawing you in to the items. a beautiful pale blue background with blue neon lights reading 'hello' '2015' 'spring' allowing the items on the mannequins and props not to be overpowered. Along with the black and white floor the whole stretch of windows looks very classy.

Venetian Carnival.
My Venetian carnival inspired window using hire costumes and the lovely range of imported masks from venice.
The window is partly decided into three by the colours used in each, The couple on the left in the Gold and red the couple on the right in blue and gold, (the mans outfit dose also have silver with in it) and the cabinet with the masks with its dominant colours being Black, Purple Gold and Red.

Because Know One Is Perfect.
"Pro Infirmis came up with a brilliant idea to provoke reflection on the acceptance of people with disabilities. Between the perfect mannequins, they added figures with scoliosis, brittle bone disease, shortened limbs, one even has a malformed spine. They’re all modelling the latest fashions. The models’ reactions to the project and the responses from passers-by are very touching."

Halloween Window 2014
My final design art work on the halloween window.
Painted on the 7th and 8th October 2014
Halloween is the Christmas season of any fancy dress company. considering that I spent only a couple of days working on the design and a budget of £30 (which I only spent £24.50 on paint)
Brief:
*Halloween window for 2014.
*The shop has two open windows situated on a main road with a busy bus stop less then 20 yards and traffic lights of cross roads with in 10 yards.
*Customers need to be able to see in to and out of the store easily (as well as those queuing outside during the busy period) as well as passers by during the night due to the busy location.
You can't really go wrong with a simple design for this.with traditional halloween classics.
Ghosts. Tomb stones. Bats. Cats. Pumpkins. Witches. Lightning. Haunted house. Full moon.
| The uneven sky line, created with a mixture of black, blue and white acrylic paint applied with a sponge, is to give the illusion of distances with a suggestion of distant hills or mountains. |
My Tim Burton inspired window, with Jack Skellington, complete with spider web framing. I have made some small differences to Jack, mine has 5 fingers and he has a different collar to the original Jack.
The social network addresses that are on the window all year round now have blood dripping from them in keeping with the season.
Window at the end of Sunday 7th October
