These two terms are rather different but they tend to be mixed up.
Window Display: This refers to the display that is with in the window this is the presentation of props and merchandise inside the shop or the shop window.
The act of decorating and putting together merchandising in store windows is called Window Dressing.
A Display Window refers to the window which is being is being dress.
A display window, shop window or store window is a place were to attack people.
-A person that does display windows is called a carpenter or construction worker
-A person who does window displays are called window dressers or visual merchandisers.
